The answer is 4 for both x and y

6 • 4 = 24
12 • 4 = 48

24 - 48 + 24 = 0
-24 + 24 = 0
-24 - (-24) = 0

don't worry about the other writing I want to see it worked out step by step so I can work the rest out and learn how to do them
artcher [175]

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

6y = 12x + 26

15y = 45x + 60

First let's simplify these equations.

6y = 12x + 26

Divide each term by 6.

y = 2x + 26/6

Simplify the fraction.

26/6

= 13/3

Your simplified equation is:

y = 2x + 13/3

Let's simplify the other equation.

15y = 45x + 60

Divide each term by 15.

y = 3x + 4

These are your simplified equations.

y = 2x + 13/3

y = 3x + 4

We can see that the slope of the first equation is not equal to the slope of the second equation.

  • equation 1: slope is 2 shown from 2x
  • equation 2: slope is 3 shown from 3x

The y-intercept of the first equation is not equal to the y-intercept of the second equation.

  • equation 1: y-intercept is 13/3 shown by + 13/3
  • equation 2: y -intercept is 4 shown by + 4

Now we want to solve the equations.

Both equations are equal to y, so you can set them equal to each other.

2x + 13/3 = 3x + 4

Combine like terms.

1/3 = x

Plug x = 1/3 into both of the equations separately..

y = 2(1/3) + 13/3

y = 2/3 + 13/3

y = 15/3

y = 5

y = 3(1/3) + 4

y = 3/3 + 4

y = 1 + 4

y = 5

Your solution is (1/3, 5)

The system of equations has one solution.

Hope this helps!

Two rectangles are similar. The ratio of their corresponding sides is 1:4.
larisa [96]

ratio of perimeter is the same as ratio of sides so perimeter would be 1:4

since area is in square units you need to square the ratio (1:4)^2 which is 1:16

Which conjecture is possible to prove is congruent? A. All quadrilaterals with 4 equal angles B. All triangles with 3 equal angl
igor_vitrenko [27]

Answer:  D. All triangles with 3 equal sides

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember, congruence means that the sides are equal and also the corresponding angles:

A) Quadrilaterals with 4 equal angles.

Here we can have, for example, a lot of different rectangles and squares, because all of them have only 45° angles, but a square is not congruent with a rectangle, so this option is not correct.

B) Triangles with 3 equal angles.

Think in the triangles, the 3 angles are 60°,

But we can craft this angle with a lot of different side lengths, so this is not the correct option, so not all the triangles with equal angles are congruent, then this option is incorrect.

C) Quadrilaterals with 4 equal sides: Here we can have a square, or a rhombus, or a parallelogram, so this option is also incorrect.

D) Triangles with 3 equal sides:

Now, we have the set of all the triangles where the length of the 3 sides is the same.

Now, if you have 3 knowed lenghts (the ones shared by the set of triangles) you can only create one triangle with them, this is known as the SSS criterion of congruence for triangles. This is the correct option.
