We know that
a=3m
j=2a
j+a+m=840

since we have values for our variables we can start putting them in:
2a+3m+m=840
2*3m+3m+m=840
6m+3m+m=840
10m=840
m=84

A=3*84
a=252
so the answer is Andre picked  pounds.<span />

1252 divided by 48 equals 26 r 4
Ksenya-84 [330]
I assume that in this question, you are asked to evaluate the value(s) of r. To answer that question, dividing 1252 by 48 gives us 26.0833 or 26. Mathematically expressing the solution,
                                         26 = 26r^4
Then, divide the equation by 26, giving us 1 = r^4. Evaluate r. This will give us answers of +-1.

Solve the multi step literal equation: solve equation for A b^2A^2-3g=q
I am Lyosha [343]

Answer:

A = ± \sqrt{\frac{q+3g}{b^2} }

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

b²A² - 3g = q ( add 3g to both sides )

b²A² = q + 3g ( divide both sides by b² )

A² = \frac{q+3g}{b^2} ( take the square root of both sides )

A = ± \sqrt{\frac{q+3g}{b^2} }

The monthly cost (in dollars) of a long-distance phone plan is a linear function of the total calling time (in minutes). The mon
kkurt [141]

The monthly cost will be $17.14

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the monthly cost (in dollars) of a long-distance phone plan is a linear function of the total calling time (in minutes) then this can be presented in a table form as;

<u>Time in minutes (x)</u>        <u>Cost in dollars (y)</u>

50                                          $12.55

102                                         $ 17.23

Take the values as ordered pairs to represent coordinates for points that satisfy the linear function

(50,12.55)  and (102,17.23)

Finding the slope of the graph using these points

slope,m=Δy/Δx

m=Δy=17.23-12.55 =4.68

Δx=102-50=52

m=4.68/52 =0.09

Finding the equation of the linear function using m=0.09, and point (50,12.55)

m=Δy/Δx

0.09=y-12.55/x-50

0.09(x-50)=y-12.55

0.09x-4.5=y-12.55

0.09x-4.5+12.55=y

y=0.09x+8.05

So for 101 minutes , the cost will be;

y=0.09*101 +8.05

y=9.09+8.05 = $17.14

The point (8,-4) lies on a circle. What is the length of the radius of this circle if the center is located at (5,-7)
Kamila [148]
Notice the picture, the radius is just the distance from the
center to a point on the circle, thus

\bf \textit{distance between 2 points}\\ \quad \\\\&#10;\begin{array}{lllll}&#10;&x_1&y_1&x_2&y_2\\&#10;%  (a,b)&#10;&({{5}}\quad ,&{{ -7}})\quad &#10;%  (c,d)&#10;&({{ 8}}\quad ,&{{ -4}})&#10;\end{array}\qquad &#10;%  distance value&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\begin{array}{llll}&#10;d = &\sqrt{({{ x_2}}-{{ x_1}})^2 + ({{ y_2}}-{{ y_1}})^2}\\&#10;&\qquad \uparrow \\&#10;&radius&#10;\end{array}

\bf \begin{array}{llll}&#10;d = &\sqrt{({{ 8}}-{{ 5}})^2 + ({{ -4}}-{{(-7)}})^2}\\&#10;&\qquad \uparrow \\&#10;&radius&#10;\end{array}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;d=\sqrt{(3)^2+(-4+7)^2}\implies d=\sqrt{3^2+3^2}\implies d=\sqrt{18}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;d=\sqrt{9\cdot 2}\implies d=\sqrt{3^2\cdot 2}\implies d=3\sqrt{2}
