Answer:

x=24

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Add 3 to both sides: 1/2x-3+3=9+3

Simplify that: 1/2x=12

Step 2: Multiply both sides by 2: 1/2x*2=2*12

Simplify: x=24

Hope this helped! :)

Match the sequence (term) with the correct type of sequence (definition).
swat32
Well for solving arithmetic sequences you have to add the numbers like for example if you had 2,4,6,8 The Common ratio would be 2 because you're constantly adding 2. Now for a geometric sequence it's a little different instead of adding the numbers you use multiplication to solve those ones so if the numbers were 4,16,64,256 the common ratio would be 4.

Now here comes the answers. For the matching :)

1. B Arithmetic, common difference is 2.

2. C Arithmetic, common difference is -4.

3. D Geometric, common ratio is 2.

4. A Geometric, common ratio is 0.5.

Hope This Helps You! Have A Wonderful Day. :)

You are walking directly away from your house. You are 5 miles away from your house when you start walking,
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

6 miles(3 miles to your friend's + 3 miles back home) Step-by-step explanation:

a. What is the distance traveled by the skier during the three minutes of recreation? 360 mAdd the lengths of the three segments - 160 m + 120 m + 80 m. b. What is the net displacement of the skier during the three minutes of recreation? 120 m, EastMeasure from the starting point (A) to the ending point (D); include direction since displacement is a vector. c. What is the displacement during the second minute (from 1 min. to 2 min.)? 120 m, WestThe second minute corresponds to a movement from B to C. Measure from the starting point (B) to the ending point (C); include direction since displacement is a vector. d. What is the displacement during the third minute (from 2 min. to 3 min.)? 80 m, EastThe third minute corresponds to a movement from C to D. Measure from the starting point (C) to the ending point (D); include direction since displacement is a vector.
