Find the area of the circle. Leave your answer in terms of pi
puteri [66]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Since area of a circle is pi.r^2

We know that diameter is 20

Radius is half of diameter

So it becomes

Pi.(d/2)^2

So pi.(40/4) is the area of this circle.

Or 40pi/4

Graph the equation on the coordinate plane.y=2x-1
Yakvenalex [24]

This equation is written in slope intercept form

Remember that the slope intercept formula is:

y = mx + b

m is the slope

b is the y-intercept

In this case:

slope (m) is 2

y-intercept (b) is (0, - 1)

To plot this on a coordinate plane plot the y-intercept (0, -1).

To graph the rest of the line you can use what you know about the slope. Rise up two units and over to the right one unit from the y-intercept. You should arrive at the point (1, 1)

Then, again from the y-intercept, go down two units and to the left one unit. You should arrive at the point (-1, -3)

Now draw a straight line through the y-intercept and the other two points you just found

The image of the graph is shown below

Hope this helped!

Given the recursive formula below, what are the first 4 terms of the sequence?
ANEK [815]

Answer:

D)

17,15,13,11

Step-by-step explanation:

From the formula

f(n) = f(n - 1) - 2 \\ f1 = 17 \\

  • we can deduce the next three terms as follows:
  • f(2) = f(2 - 1) - 2 \\ f(2)= f(1) - 2 \\ f(2) = 17 - 2 \\ f(2) = 15\\
  • f(3) = f(3 - 1) - 2 \\ f(3)= f(2) - 2 \\ f(3) = 15 - 2 \\ f(3) = 13\\
  • f(4) = f(4 - 1) - 2 \\ f(4)= f(3) - 2 \\ f(4) = 13 - 2 \\ f(4) = 11\\
  • Hence the sequence is; 17, 15, 13, 11,...

Please help . I don't know fractions really well. please and thanks
Lerok [7]
I can help you with #20. For example, lets say 3/5, this fraction would be made up of 5 parts and 3 are covered, which doesn't make it full, if it was 5/5 it would be full. When you do something with a reciprocal you turn it over, so 3/5 would be turned over to 5/3, thus making it a whole number
