What is a third-degree binomial?
natita [175]

Answer:A binomial expression has two terms. For example, 4x + 5, The degree of any polynomial refers to the term with the highest exponent on its variable. ... Therefore, it is called binomial and since the highest exponent with variable x is 3, therefore it is third degree binomial with constant term of 8

An operations analyst counted the number of arrivals per minute at an ATM in each of 30 randomly chosen minutes. The results wer
liraira [26]

Step-by-step explanation:

since Poisson distribution parameter is not given so we have to estimate it from the sample data. The average number of of arrivals per minute at an ATM is

\hat{\lambda}=\bar{x}=\frac{\sum x}{n}=\frac{30}{30}=1

So probabaility for \mathrm{X}=1 is

P(X=1)=\frac{e^{-\lambda} \lambda^{x}}{x !}=\frac{e^{-1} \cdot 1^{1}}{1 !}=0.3679

So expected frequency for X=1 is 0.3679^{*} 30=11.037 (or \left.11.04\right) .

what is the circumference of a circle that has a radius of 8 units use 3.14 (pie) and round to the nearest hundredth
SashulF [63]

Remember that the formula for the circumference, C, of a circle is:

C = d \pi

In this case, we are not given the diameter. However, remember that the diameter is equivalent to two times the radius of a circle. Thus,

d = 2 \cdot 8 = 16,

and we can say the circumference of our circle is:

C = 16 \cdot 3.14 = 50.24 \,\textrm{units}

The circumference of our circle is 50.24 units.

<em>Also, a little side note not relating to the question:</em>

<em>Remember that \pi is spelled as "pi" not "pie." Pie is a dessert, while pi is a mathematical constant.</em>

How to do composition of functions
KengaRu [80]
<h2><u><em>If you rather have the link to get this info lmk!!</em></u></h2>

Example: f(x) = 2x+3 and g(x) = x2

"x" is just a placeholder. To avoid confusion let's just call it "input":

f(input) = 2(input)+3

g(input) = (input)2

Let's start:

(g º f)(x) = g(f(x))

First we apply f, then apply g to that result:

Function Composition - (g º f)(x) = (2x+3)2

What if we reverse the order of f and g?

(f º g)(x) = f(g(x))

First we apply g, then apply f to that result:

Function Composition - (f º g)(x) = 2x2+3

We get a different result!  When we reverse the order the result is rarely the same.  So be careful which function comes first.
