World War I introduced many modern warfares which include airplanes, tanks, trench warfares and other weapons. Along the western front, most of the war was fought using trench warfare. How did worker shortages in the united states affect texas during world war 2
harkovskaia [24]

Answer: The shortage of labour in farms affected the Texas in a big way.

Explanation: During World War - II, a lot of the young farmhands were asked to join the war, which left the farms bereft of able-bodied workers on the farms. It was a major deterrent to producing food with the few laborers that were remaining.

The shortage of laborers became overwhelming, especially for those who worked on fruit and vegetable farms. They now had to resort to migratory labor. The civilian jobs were far more affected in the war as more and more young men were called in to be enlisted into the military.

Those not joining the military to fight got higher paid jobs in the defense plants, which further depleted the farming hands, which was initially the largest source of employment right before the war.

Now wives and kids worked on the farms to compensate for the shortage of labor. it affected states like Texas which were majorly sustained on agriculture during the world war - ll
