Answer:

we have to double the pressure.

Explanation:

b/c according to boyle's" the volume of a given mass of gas is inversely proportional to its pressure in a constant temperature.

P1*V1=P2*V2

we have P1=1 atm because it is at STp

V1=50L

V2=25L because we want to cut the volume of the gas in half .

and we can find P2

from the above formula we have P2=P1*V1/V2

P2=1*50/25=50/25=2

so when we doubled the pressure the volume will be halved.

Studies reveal that during colder glacial periods, co2 levels ____ during warmer interglacial periods.
katovenus [111]
Studies reveal that during colder glacial periods, carbon dioxide levels were lower than during warmer interglacial periods. Glacial periods are intervals of time within an ice age that is marked by colder temperatures and glacier advances. Interglacials, on the other hand, are periods of warmer climate between glacial periods.

A sample of oxygen gas occupies a volume of 250 mL at .8 atm of pressure. What volume will it occupy at 1.2 atm of pressure?
musickatia [10]
167 mL

P1V1 = P2V2
P1 = .8 atm
V1 = 250 mL
P2 = 1.2 atm

Solve for V2 —> V2 = P1V1/P2

V2 = (0.8 atm)(250 mL) / (1.2 atm) = 167 mL

Question∵

Compared to visible light, an electromagnetic wave that has a longer wavelength will also have?

Answer:

Hi, There! -Randp12- My Name Is jay I'm here to help! :)

The correct answer is lower frequency.

Explanation:

Information to Support My Answer :D

it is visible that wavelength and frequency follow inverse relation. For increase in wavelength, the value of frequency decreases and vice-versa.

Therefore for higher wavelength, the electromagnetic wave will also have lower frequency.

Hope this helps!
