Questions

<span> <span> What is the basic unit of organization of all living things? </span></span>

Cells, are the basic unit of all living things.

<span> <span>What is the difference between an organ and an organ system? </span></span>

The difference between an organ and an organ system is that an organ is part of an organ system. There are organs in an organ system.

<span> <span>For your organ system, describe how the system works at the organ level. </span></span>

The mouth helps the food get to small enough pieces, to where it can down to through the esophagus and into the stomach. The esophagus is a long, narrow tube that connects the stomach to the mouth, and it is also where the food goes down through to get to the stomach. The stomach is the organ that is responsible for using chemicals to make foods into a liquid state where it is then passed to the small intestine.

<span> <span>For your organ system, describe how the system works at the tissue level. </span></span>

The epithelial tissue covers organs and protects them from bacteria that may get to them. The muscle tissues are responsible for moving fluids through your body. The glandular tissue is responsible for creating organs.

<span> <span>Describe what would happen if an organ in your specific organ system stopped working. </span></span>

<span> If an organ in the digestive system would stop working, then the whole system would stop working. If the digestive system is not working then your body will not be able digest food. </span>

The p53 gene is important to the cell cycle in G1 and G2, and cancer. What happens to the cell cycle when a mutation occurs in t
german

Answer:

PFFT this might help? sorry if not mate

Explanation:

Cell cycle checkpoint controls play a major role in preventing the development of cancer [see Sherr, 1994, for a more detailed discussion]. Major checkpoints occur at the G1 to S phase transition and at the G2 to M phase transitions. Cancer is a genetic disease that arises from defects in growth-promoting oncogenes and growth-suppressing tumor suppressor genes. The p53 tumor suppressor protein plays a role in both the G1/S phase and G2/M phase checkpoints. The mechanism for this activity at the G1/S phase checkpoint is well understood, but its mechanism of action at the G2/M phase checkpoint remains to be elucidated. The p53 protein is thought to prevent chromosomal replication specifically during the cell cycle if DNA damage is present. In addition, p53 can induce a type of programmed cell death, or apoptosis, under certain circumstances. The general goal of p53 appears to be the prevention of cell propagation if mutations are present. The p53 protein acts as a transcription factor by binding to certain specific genes and regulating their expression. One of these, WAF1 or Cip1, is activated by p53 and is an essential downstream mediator of p53-dependent G1/S phase checkpoint control. The function of p53 can be suppressed by another gene, MDM2, which is overexpressed in certain tumorigenic mouse cells and binds to p53 protein, thus inhibiting its transcriptional activation function. Other cellular proteins have been found to bind to p53, but the significance of the associations is not completely understood in all cases. The large number of human cancers in which the p53 gene is altered makes this gene a good candidate for cancer screening approaches.

If the sympathetic nervous system prepares your body for ____________, the parasympathetic nervous system prepares your body for
bogdanovich [222]
Flight; fight
The sympathetic is used to speed things up, stopping things like digestion in order to supply more blood to the heart and lungs, while the parasympathetic does the opposite; digesting food and working on internal things while the heart rate and breathing rate slow.
