Answer:

Surface area is the sum of the areas of all faces (or surfaces) on a 3D shape. A cuboid has 6 rectangular faces. To find the surface area of a cuboid, add the areas of all 6 faces. We can also label the length (l), width (w), and height (h) of the prism and use the formula, SA=2lw+2lh+2hw, to find the surface area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area means, basically the outside of the shape, faces is a fancy way schools use to say sides, for example a cuboid, these look like rectangles but 3D, It has 6 "faces" or sides. And it also has 12 edges. With my school, they usually fill the 3D shapes with cubes to have a way to estimate the size, or they might write it on the sides like 2D shapes. Prisim means a 3D shape that has 2 faces that are the exact same, like a 2D rectangle. Which is a look-alike to the cuboid. SA=2lw+2lh+2hw might look , difficult but it means SA=surface answer, 2LW means length with, 2LH means length hight, and 2HW means hight width.

Let sin(2x) = cos(x), where 0° ≤ x < 180°. What are the possible values for x?
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

The possible values of x are 90°, 30° and 150°.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

sin(2x) = cos(x) where 0° ≤ x < 180°

We know that, sin(2x) = 2 sinx cosx

2 sinx cosx = cosx

Subtract cosx on both sides

2 sinx cosx - cosx = 0

cosx (2sinx-1)=0

It means, cosx = 0 and (2sin x -1 ) = 0

cos x = cos0           and        sinx = 1/2

x = 90°                     and        x = 30°, 150°

Hence, the possible values of x are 90°, 30° and 150°.
