First understand that to fill a flat space is to fill up the area. therefore we are looking for the area of the rectangular kitchen. we could find the exact amount of pieces needed for the length and thebexaxt amount needed for the width and then multiply these by each other to fill the length and width, which is the area. or we can find the area and divide that by the size of the tile to determine how many will fit. They they both are simple so I can try both. they will give same answer and maybe one way will be easier to understand than the other.

ok I will do the first way mentioned finding how many for length and how many for width and multiply together to get the amount it takes to fill.
So we have 102 ft but the tiles are measured in cm. So we need to convert one of them to match the other. It does not matter which. ultimately it will be the same answer. I will convert the centimeters so i can deal with smaller numbers. The conversion for cm to inches is 1 inch per 2.54 cm and inch to feet is 1 ft per 12 inches. So we can do:
25 cm * 1/2.54 in/cm * 1/12 ft/in

It it says to wait to round so we can just combine this into a fraction and say
(25) / (2.54*12) ft

this tells us how much length each tile takes down it's its length and width.

We we know the length is 102 ft so we can divide that by the length of tile and get amount of pieces that fit. For width it's the same but use width length of 18 ft. so:
length pieces = (102 ft) / [(25) / (2.54*12) ft]
width pieces = (18 ft) / [(25) / (2.54*12) ft]

we then multiply the pieces together to get pieces for area.
area pieces = length pieces * width pieces

the answer is 2729.1 pieces

the other way we find area of kitchen which is length * width. we divide this by area of tile to see how many for.
area kitchen = 102 * 18 ft^2

we found length and width of time earlier so:
area tile = [(25) / (2.54*12)]^2 ft

answer is:
area kitchen / area tile

so answer is:[(102 * 18) / ([(25) / (2.54*12) ft]^2)

or
2729.11

Answer:   2730 tiles (Approx)

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, The side length of each side = 25

According to the question the shape of the tile is square.

Thus, the area of one tile = 25 × 25 = 625 cm^2

Also, we need to tile a kitchen measuring 102 ft. by 18 ft

Thus, the area of the room in which we have to tile =  102 × 18 = 1836 feet^2 = 1836×30.48 × 30.48 = 1705699.8144 cm^2

Thus, the total number of the tiles = the area of the room in which we have to tile / the area of one tile = \frac{1705699.8144}{625} = 2729.11970304

Since, we must take 2730 tiles to tile the kitchen.

The net of a square pyramid is shown below: Net of a square pyramid showing 4 triangles and the square base. The square base has
Neko [114]

Given:

The dimensions:

Square pyramid

Square base: 2x2

1 out of 4 triangles: 1/2x2x5

4 triangles: 2x2x5

To find:

The SURFACE AREA of the square pyramid

Find answer:

Step 1

Find the area of the square base -

Square base:

SA = L x W

= 2 x 2

= 4

<em>The surface area of the square is 4 square inches</em>

<em></em>

Step 2

Find the area of the 4 Triangles:

We will use a different formula here, to find 1 triangle, we will have to do:

SA = \frac{1}{2} *B*H

To find 2 triangles, we will do:

SA = B*H

But to find 4 triangles in just 1 step, we will do:

SA=2*B*H

Let's do it!

SA = 2*2*5\\=2*10\\=20

<em>The surface area of the 4 triangles are 20 square inches</em>

<em></em>

Step 3

Add answers to get FINAL ANSWER

Easy!

20+4=24

<h2>Hence, the Surface Area of the Square Pyramid is 24 square inches</h2>

Which equation represents the line that passes through (-6, 7) and (-3, 6)?
Degger [83]

For this case we have that by definition, the equation of the line in the slope-intersection form is given by:

y = mx + b

Where:

m: It is the slope of the line

b: It is the cut-off point with the y axis

We have the following points through which the line passes:

(x_ {1}, y_ {1}): (- 6,7)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}): (- 3,6)

We find the slope of the line:

m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}} = \frac {6-7} {- 3 - (- 6)} = \frac {-1} {-3 + 6} = \frac {-1} {3} = -\frac {1} {3}

Thus, the equation of the line is of the form:

y = - \frac {1} {3} x + b

We substitute one of the points and find b:

6 = - \frac {1} {3} (- 3) + b\\6 = 1 + b\\b = 5

Finally, the equation is:

y = - \frac {1} {3} x + 5

Answer:

y = - \frac {1} {3} x + 5
