The most common problem used by parents is we use 'our parents' methods of discipline preschool children. Hitting, yelling, using fear, threatening all of these are examples of what my parents have or may have done. Though these tactics may have worked for a short time, I can say that if my parents would have taken the time to teach and guide me even with my resistance, their discipline would have been more effective.
