Substitute the 1st equation in the 2nd, we get:

3x + 2(-3 + 2x) = 2
3x -6 +4x = 2

7x = 8
x = 8/7

Replace x = 8/7 in equation 1,

y = -3 + 2(8/7) = -3 +16/7 = -5/7

Y=-3+2x
3x+2y=2

3x+2(-3+2x)=2
3x-6+4x=2
+6 +6
7x=8
/7 /7
x= 8/7

Now plug that in to find y

y=-3+2(8/7)
-3+16/7
-3+2 2/7
y=-5/7

Simplify. (2/5)^4... words to fill in minimum space
Stella [2.4K]
When you have a power to a fraction, you simply take it by the top and then by the bottm.

So, split it into two: (2)^4 and (5)^4

Solve: (2)^4=16
(5)^4=625

So the fraction is: 16/625

Check to see if it reduces: It doesn't. (Odd and even numbers that have no common multiples).

Therefore, that's the answer.

beks73 [17]

Answer:

see explaination

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the formulla that

sum of terms number of terms sample mean -

Gives the sample mean as \mu=17.954

Now varaince is given by

s^2=\frac{1}{50-1}\sum_{i=1}^{49}(x_i-19.954)^2=9.97

and the standard deviation is s=\sqrt{9.97}=3.16

b) The standard error is given by

\frac{s}{\sqrt{n-1}}=\frac{3.16}{\sqrt{49}}=0.45

c) For the given data we have the least number in the sample is 12.0 and the greatest number in the sample is 24.1

Q_1=15.83, \mathrm{Median}=17.55 and Q_3=19.88

d) Since the interquartile range is Q_3-Q_1=19.88-15.83=4.05

Now the outlier is a number which is greater than 19.88+1.5(4.05)=25.96

or a number which is less than 15.83-1.5(4.05)=9.76

As there is no such number so the given sample has no outliers

How is finding the factors of a number different from finding the prime factorization of a number.
mario62 [17]
When finding factors of a number, you are just finding numbers that can factor into it. When finding the prime factorization, you are narrowing down the factors to the smallest factored numbers.

Ex:     40                 •The bolded numbers are the most simplified factors.
         /    \
       8     5
     /   \
   4    2          The prime factorization of 40 is 5 x 2^3.
