In complete sentences, describe the behavior of a substance in each state of matter if placed in a closed container
Bezzdna [24]

In a closed container the three states of matter would be solid, liquid and gas

Solid- The solid exists as a rigid solid and has fixed shape and volume. Strong inter molecular and intramuscular forces inhibit the solid from losing its shape and occupying the volume of container.

Liquid- It takes the shape of the container but not the volume of the container. This means the kinetic energy is not large enough for the liquid to cover all the space inside the container.

Gas- The gas expands to take both the shape and volume of the container. This would explain why a balloon inflates when you blow air into it.

Answer is: gamma emission or gamma decay.
During gamma emission the nucleus emits radiation without changing its composition, if for example have nucleus with six protons and six neutrons (carbon atom) and after gamma decay there is nucleus with six protons and six neutrons.
Gamma rays are the electromagnetic waves with the shortest wavelengths (1 pm), highest frequencies (300 EHz) and highest energy (1,24 MeV).
