A shield vol may be produced by hot spots which lay far away from the edges of tectonic plates. Shields also occur along the mid-oceanic ridge, where sea-floor spreading is in progress and along subduction related volcanic arcs.
The effect is called BIPHASIC RESPONSE.
When an individual start drinking alcohol and the BAC level is below 0.06 the person will be stimulated and relatively happy, but when the BAC rises above this level, the person will feel down and depressed. The response is called biphasic because the two events[that is, feeling high and feeling down] occur within a time frame period.
From what I remember in Biology I, a homozygous dominant is when an organism carries two copies of the same dominant allele. An allele is one of the possible forms of a gene.
