Answer:Jim gets £24

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount Natasha gets be represented as x

SO that Krutika getting three times as much as Natasha be represented as 3x

AND Jim getting twice as much as Krutika be represented as 2 x 3x=6x

The equation to show how much each gets can be represented as

x + 3x +6x=40

Solving

x +3x + 6x=40

10x =40

x =40/10 =4

Natasha gets £4

Krutika gets 3x =3x4= £12

Jim gets 6x=6 x4= £24

Problem 10

Answer: approximately 57.39159 km

Explanation: You'll use the equation cos(28) = d/65 to solve for d to get d = 65*cos(28) = 57.39159 approximately. We use the cosine ratio because it ties together the adjacent and hypotenuse.

Problem 11

Answer: approximately 10.46162 meters

Explanation: This time we use the sine rule. We have the height as the opposite side (which is unknown, call it x) and the hypotenuse is the ladders length (11). So we have sin(72) = x/11 which solves to x = 11*sin(72) = 10.46162

Problem 12

Answer: approximately 16.05724 cm

Explanation: Now we use the tangent rule to connect the opposite and adjacent sides.

tan(37) = 12.1/x

x*tan(37) = 12.1

x = 12.1/tan(37)

x = 16.05724 approximately

Sum of the interior angles of any triangle is 180° .

Thus ;

y + 48° + 90° = 180°

y + 138° = 180°

Subtract sides 138°

y + 138° - 138° = 180° - 138° \\

y = 42°

Answer:

ABD ≅ ACD and PQS ≅ PRS

Step-by-step explanation:

For ABD ≅ ACD;

AB = AC = 3.5

BD = CD = 2.5

AD ≅ AD by reflexive

Since all 3 sides are congruent, SSS can be used

For PQS ≅ PRS

PQ≅PR by given

QS≅RS by given

PS≅PS by reflexive property

Since all 3 sides are congruent, SSS can be used and they are congruent
