Step-by-step explanation:

# Area of painting = 20 × 16

# Area of combination = 25 × 20

.°. Area of frame = Area of combination - Area of painting

= (25×20)-(20×16)

=20 (25-16)

=20 × 9

= 180 {cm}^{2}

Problem
Sergeu [11.5K]

The lengths of HJ and JK are 50 and 72 respectively.

Given: J is between H and K. the length of HJ=2x+4, JK=3x+3, and HK=22.

The line HJ and JK are  collinear then the total length is given as: HJ+JK=HK

substitute values

⇒ (2x+4)+(3x+3)=22

⇒ 5x+7=22

⇒ 5x=22-7

⇒ 5x=15

⇒ x=3

Thus, the length of HJ is (2x+4)=(2*3+4)=10

And the length of JK is (3x+3)=(3*3+3)=12

The probability that a radish seed will germinate is 0.7. A gardener plants seeds in batches of
Harlamova29_29 [7]

The standard deviation for the number of seeds germinating in each batch is 1.3

<u>Solution:</u>

<em><u>In binomial distribution, standard deviation is given as:</u></em>

\sigma=\sqrt{np(1-p)}

Where "n" is the number of observations

"p" is probability of getting success

We are given that:

Total batches of seed = 8

Probability that a radish seed will germinate is 0.7

Here success is getting radish seed germinated

<em><u>Then, the standard deviation for the number of seeds germinating in each batch.</u></em>

Plugging in values in formula, we get

\sigma=\sqrt{(8)(0.7)(1-0.7)}\\\\=\sqrt{(8)(0.7)(0.3)}\\\\=\sqrt{1.68}\\\\=1.29614\approx1.3

Therefore the standard deviation for the number of seeds germinating in each batch is 1.3

Am I doing this right plz help me
Elza [17]
Your original inequality is
.. w -2 ≤ 8
The additive property of equality applies to inequalities as well as to equations. You use the additive property of equality to solve this. Add 2 to both sides.
.. w -2 +2 ≤ 8 +2
The purpose of adding 2 is to cancel the effect of subtracting 2. That is, -2+2=0, and w+0 = w.
.. w ≤ 10

The correct selection would be B.
