Choose 2 types of light waves from the electromagnetic spectrum and compare them,

Physics

Answer:

Explanation:

infrared  waves  and ultra violet (UV) waves

infrared is a light that we can feel as heat.  it's just below the red spectrum that we can see with our eyes.  We tend to think of infrared as a  red light but it's really not in our red spectrum of vision, it's below that, or the wave lengths are longer than red light is .

Ultra violet (UV) is much higher energy.  we don't "feel" that but it's much more powerful than infrared. it's above the blue/ purple spectrum that our eyes can see or the wave lengths is shorter than what we can see in the highest visible spectrum that we can see.  Because the wave lengths are shorter there is much more energy in the wave.  It's destructive to us, even, and why we put on UV block,  sun screen.   :P

Light is incident along the normal to face AB of a glass prism of refractive index 1.54. Find αmax, the largest value the angle
marusya05 [52]

To solve this problem it is necessary to use the concepts related to Snell's law.

Snell's law establishes that reflection is subject to

n_1sin\theta_1 = n_2sin\theta_2

Where,

\theta = Angle between the normal surface at the point of contact

n = Indices of refraction for corresponding media

The total internal reflection would then be given by

n_1 sin\theta_1 = n_2sin\theta_2

(1.54) sin\theta_1 = (1.33)sin(90)

sin\theta_1 = \frac{1.33}{1.54}

\theta = sin^{-1}(\frac{1.33}{1.54})

\theta = 59.72\°

Therefore the \alpha_{max} would be equal to

\alpha = 90\°-\theta

\alpha = 90-59.72

\alpha = 30.27\°

Therefore the largest value of the angle α is 30.27°

Natasha2012 [34]

Explanation:

answer 689910

M x G x H

mass = 77

G= 9.8

Meter = 915 this is the height

77 x 9.8= 754.6

754.6 X 915 = 689910 J

Kenneth ran a marathon (26.2 miles) in 5.5 hours. What was Kenneth's average speed? (Round your answer to the nearest tenth.) 0.
Anna11 [10]

Answer:

4.8 mph

Explanation:

From the question,

Average speed = total distance/total time

V = d/t....................... Equation 1

Where d = distance, t = time

Given: d = 26.2 miles, t = 5.5 hours.

Substitute these values into equation 1

V = 26.2/5.5

V = 4.76 mph

V ≈ 4.8 mph
