5 0

Answer:

(-2, 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

the point B is

B(x,y)

x

AB (A to B) is twice BC ( B to C )

AB is 2 - x. BC is x - (-4)= x + 4

So

2-x=2 (x + 4)

2-x=2x + 8

3x = -6

x = -2

y

(Same logic as above)

AB is -5 -y. BC is u - 7

-5 -y = 2(y - 7)

-5 - y = 2y - 14

3y = 9

y= 3

the point is (-2, 3)

If 5 consecutive integers sum to 255, the largest of the 5 is?
makvit [3.9K]

Answer:

53

Step-by-step explanation:

x + (x + 1) + (x +2) + (x +3) + (x +4) = 255

5x + 10 = 255

5x = 255 - 10

5x = 245

x = 245/5

x = 49

Thus, the largest of the five consecutive numbers = x + 4

= 49 + 4

= 53

Solve the inequality below for x.

–3.2(2x – 1) ≤ 17.6
larisa86 [58]

Answer:

x > -9/4

Step-by-step explanation:

Step  1  :

           88

Simplify   ——

           5

Equation at the end of step 1 :

        32                 88

(0 -  (—— • (2x - 1))) -  ——  < 0

        10                 5

Step  2  :

           16

Simplify   ——

           5

Equation at the end of step 2 :

        16                 88

(0 -  (—— • (2x - 1))) -  ——  < 0

        5                  5

Step  3  :

Equation at the end of step 3 :

       16 • (2x - 1)     88

(0 -  —————————————) -  ——  < 0

             5           5

Step  4

-16 • (2x-1) - (88)     -32x - 72

         5                  5

Step  5  :

Pulling out like terms :

5.1 Pull out like factors :

  -32x - 72  =   -8 • (4x + 9)

Equation at the end of step 5 :

-8 • (4x + 9)

—————————————  < 0

       5

Step  6  :

6.1 Multiply both sides by 5

6.2 Divide both sides by -8

6.3 Divide both sides by 4

     x+(9/4)  > 0

A class will have 1 test and 5 homework assignments to complete. If the test is worth 80 points and each homework assignment is
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

180 points.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A class will have 1 test and 5 homework assignments to complete.

The test is worth 80 points.

Each homework assignment is work 25% of the test.

Question asked:

How many points may be earned during this unit ?

Solution:

By unitary method:

Points may be earned from 1 assignments = 25\% of 80 (given)

                                                                       = \frac{25}{100} \times 80 = \frac{2000}{100}  = 20

Points may be earned from 5  assignments = 5\times 20 = 100

Points may be earned from 1 test = 80

Total points may be earned = 100 + 80 = 180

Therefore, 180 points may be earned during this unit.
