What is 5.96 as a fraction

Mathematics

4 0
There are a couple of ways to write this. One, the simplest in my opinion, is this:
Five wholes and 96 hundredths. To write this it is:
5 96/100
However, this can be simplified and we know this because their GCF (greatest common factor) is 4. Divide each by 4.
= 24/25

(NOTE: DONT SIMPLIFY THE WHOLE NUMBER!)

Write the phrase "the product of a number v and 15" as an expression.
Oduvanchick [21]

Translating the phrase to a mathematical expression, the equivalent expression is given by:

15v

The product of two numbers is the multiplication of these two numbers, hence:

 • "The product of a number v and 15" is given by: v \times 15 = 15v.

Thus, the equivalent expression is:

15v
