Distribute the 2 with the (3z-4) after distributing the 2, your answer would look like this: 5z-2=6z-8

then you would add 2 to both sides and your equation would look like this:          5z=6z-6

next you would subtract the 6z to both sides and your equation would look like this:  -z=6

I think that is your answer sorry I tried.

4. Sasha sells t-shirts. Each day she earns a set amount, plus a
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer:

The linear function is: p(x) = 3x+65The linear function is: p(x) = 3x+65

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of t-shirts and y be the total pay

As we can clearly see in the table that there is a linear relationship between x and y

A linear function is given as:

y = mx+b

Here m is the gradient of the function then

m = \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

Taking any two pairs of x and y

(1,68) and (2,71)

m = \frac{71-68}{2-1}\\m = 3

Putting in equation

y = 3x+b

Putting a pair (1,68) in the equation to find the value of b

68 = 3(1) + b\\68 = 3+b\\b = 68-3\\b = 65

Putting the value of b

y = 3x+65

Let p(x) be the linear function

Hence,

The linear function is: p(x) = 3x+65

rodney bought a 25pound bag of dog food his dog eat 10and2/5poundsof foodinthe firstmounthand104/5poundsof the foodin the second
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

3⅘ lb

Step-by-step explanation:

(a) <em>Amount eaten</em>

Eaten = 10⅖ + 10⅘

Think of pounds as pies. Each pie has 5 slices.

10⅖ pies = 10 pies + 2 slices = 50 slices + 2 slices = 52 slices

10⅘ pies = 10 pies + 2 slices = 50 slices + 4 slices = 54 slices

Eaten = 52 slices + 54 slices = 106 slices

(b) <em>Amount remaining</em>

Remaining = Original – Eaten

Original = 25 pies = 125 slices

Eaten = 106 slices

Remaining = 125 slices -106 slices

Remaining = 19 slices                 Convert slices to pies

Remaining = 15 slices + 4 slices

Remaining = 3 pies + 4 slices     Convert to mixed fraction

Remaining = 3⅘ pies                   Convert pies to pounds

Remaining dog food = 3⅘ lb
