The tongue and the teeth works well to capture insects.
The mouths tongue is able to extend to stick to its prey, then drag it into the frog's mouth. From this point the frog's vomerine teeth trap the prey so that it cannot escape, and can then be eaten. By the frog adapting to capture it's prey efficiently, they are able to obtain food.
