And most feel it's not okay to eat dogs is because most people actually live around them and know how sweet and kind they are and how they are pets for most. I also feel if it were cows (or some farm animal) instead, like people kept them as pets(just an example) then they would see the personality of a cow and I guess they would feel more pity for them and not kill them. I hope you understand it's hard to explain my thinking pattern.
