Titus works at a hotel. Part of his job is to keep the complimentary pitcher of water at least half full and always with ice. Wh

en he starts his shift, the water level shows 8 gallons, or 128 cups of water. As the shift progresses, he records the level of the water every 10 minutes. After 2 hours, he uses a regression calculator to compute an equation for the decrease in water. His equation is W –0.414t + 129.549, where t is the number of minutes and W is the level of water. According to the equation, after about how many minutes would the water level be less than or equal to 64 cups?

Ruth has a beaker containing a solution of 800 mL of acid and 200 mL of water. She thinks the solution is a little strong, so sh
NISA [10]

Answer:

350 mL of water

Step-by-step explanation:

Well she starts with 200mL of water and there is 800 mL of acid of water.

She drains 100 mL of acid and adds 100 mL of water so there is 300 mL of water.

And she stirs meaning the compounds have mixed.

Then she drains 100 mL and she they are mixed she drains half of acid and half of water so she has 250 mL of water.

The she adds 100 mL of water so now there’s 350 mL of water left.

Can someone explain positive and negatives to me
Alex777 [14]

(I will do my best to entirely explain the subject) To understand Positives and Negatives you need to have a number line.

-3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Your whole life you have been using positives and negatives when you subtract or add a number. 9 - 2 is really just 9 + -2

With the number line it should be easier to understand that for every single time you add or take away you change the value. The more you take away (Negative numbers, 5 + -6) the farther down the value goes to the left, more towards the negative side (5 + -6 = -1). The same goes for addition (-6 + 9 = 3).

To multiply all you need to do is count how many times you see a negative number. If you see an even number of negatives then the answer will be positive because on the number line you went from one side to the other multiple times, left right left right and all that jazz. Hopefully i made this make more sense to you, if there is anything i need to clarify on please make it known so i can edit my answer.
