From the center of the Earth to the moon, what should the orbital radius of such satellite be in order to stay over the same poi
yulyashka [42]

In order to have a period that matches the Earth's rotation, a satellite must be in a circular orbit, and 42,164 km from the center of the Earth.

But that's not quite enough to make sure that it always stays over the same point on the Earth's surface (and appears motionless in the sky). For that to happen, the satellite's orbit has to be directly over the Equator.

The Moon has nothing to do with any of this.

What is the strength of the electric field 3.0 cm from a small glass bead that has been charged to + 8.0 nc ?
Debora [2.8K]
Thinking the small glass bead as a single point charge, the electric field generated by it is given by
E(r) = k_e  \frac{Q}{r^2}
where
k_e = 8.99 \cdot 10^9 N m^2 C^{-2} is the Coulomb's constant
Q=8.0 nC=8.0 \cdot 10^{-9} C is the charge of the bead
r=3.0 cm=0.03 m is the distance at which we calculate the field.

Using these data, we find:
E=(8.99 \cdot 10^9 N m^2 C^{-2} ) \frac{(8.0 \cdot 10^{-9} C}{0.03 m)^2}=8.0 \cdot 10^4 N/C

Which of the following best describes the behavior of silica rich magma
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

A. Highly viscous and associated with violent eruptions

Explanation:

Most silica rich magma have high viscosity and huge amount of trapped gases within them. As they continue to upwell and expand, the gases causes violent eruptions near Volcanoes. Most granitic/rhyolitic magma are silica rich.
