Answer:

sackbut

Explanation:

Sackbut is a wind instrument related to the moderate trombone, due to its similar appearance. However, these two instruments present different sounds, since the sound produced by the sackbut is more "full-bodied" and melodious compared to the sound of the modern trombone.

Sackbut is made of metal and was widely used by composers of the Renaissance.

Identify all the true statements. In the liver, stimulation of the glucagon receptor leads to activation of glycogen phosphoryla
olga nikolaevna [1]

Answer:

-activation of glycogen phosphorylase

-activation of PKA (cAMP‑dependent protein kinase)

-conversion of ATP to cAMP

-activation of fructose 1,6‑bisphosphatase (FBPase‑1)

Explanation:

The binding of glucagon to its receptors affects the production of glucose in the liver. Once the glucagon receptors are activated, it leads to the activation of adenylate cyclase in which in turn increases the levels of cAMP (cyclic AMP) conversion from ATP. The increased level of cAMP then activates PKA (protein kinase A). PKA results in the phosphorylation of pyruvate kinase which results to the activation of fructose 1,6‑bisphosphatase (FBPase‑1) which results to decrease in glycolysis.

Furthermore, PKA  activates phosphorylase kinase which results to the activation of glycogen phosphorylase and hence glycogenolysis. Glycogenolysis occurs when Glucose-1- phosphate is then released from glycogen. PKA also inhibits the action of glycogen synthase.

14. a science student claims that a substitution mutation is less likely to affect gene function than an insertion or deletion m
goldenfox [79]
DNA functions in codons which are pairs of three amino acids. In substitution since one is taken out and replaced, only the codon that that acid would have been in is affected. With insertion or deletion every codon on is shifted due to the presence of a new amino acid

Write a short informational paragraph explaining the role that DNA has in creating protein in your body.
jasenka [17]
DNA is found in the nucleus of a cell. Depending on the type of cell, different parts of the DNA are used (example; if it's an eye cell, the DNA will use the segment that is dedicated to the functions of the eye). When a protein is needed, the DNA will split and in a process called transcription, the DNA messages are copied onto mRNA. The mRNA then leaves the nucleus through nuclear pores, and then travels through the cytoplasm to locate ribosomes which will produce the proteins needed to express whatever trait it codes for.

PLEASE HELP!! Identify a specific environmental factor that will cause a response to living things, and describe how this factor
jasenka [17]

Answer:

A specific environmental factor that will cause a response to living things will be light from the sun.

Explanation:

An enhanced amount of light from Sun will cause the plants to have enhanced photosynthesis. Photosynthesis can be described as a process by which plants use light energy from the sun to convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar (food) and oxygen.

In animals, enhanced amount of light from the sun will cause sweating and vasodilation.

The process of photosynthesis won't occur in animals and the process of sweating won't occur in plants.
