Solve for x & y. 30x−42y=−6 and 5x−7y=−1
vladimir1956 [14]
Um.. Both of those equations are the exact same. Divide both sides of the first equation by 6. You get:

\frac{30x  - 42y}{6} = \frac{-6}{6} \\ 5x - 7y = -1

That is the exact same as the second equation. This system has an infinite number of solutions. 5x - 7y = -1 is a line, so basically every point on that line is a solution to the system.

For example, x = 0 and y = \frac{1}{7} would work, but so would x = 1 and y = \frac{6}{7}

Explain why a + b = d.<br> B<br> A<br> C<br> swer
bixtya [17]

Answer:

<em>Explanation below</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Angles in a Triangle</u>

There are two basic relations of angles we need to recall:

  • Supplementary angles add up to 180°
  • Internal angles of a triangle add up to 180°

Note a, b, and c are the internal angles of the triangle. The angle c is what is needed to a+b to complete 180°, thus:

c = 180 - ( a + b )

Also, note c and d are supplementary angles. Again, c is what is needed to d to complete 180°, thus

c = 180 - d

From the two relations above, it follows that:

a + b = d

Solve 0.05p-0.02(5-2p)=0.05(p-2)-0.12
Montano1993 [528]
0.05p-0.02(5-2p)=0.05(p-2)-0.12

0.05p-0.02(5-2p)=0.05(p-2)-0.12:p

&#10;0.05p-0.1+0.04p=0.05p-0.1-0.12&#10; &#10;  |Expand \ the \ equation|

0.09p-0.1=0.05p-0.1-0.12&#10; &#10;

0.09p-0.1=0.05p-0.22

&#10;0.09p-0.1-0.05p=-0.22&#10; &#10;&#10;  |Subtract \ 0.05p \ from \ both \ sides|

&#10;0.04p-0.1=-0.22&#10; &#10;

&#10;0.04p=-0.22+0.1&#10; &#10;  |Add \ 0.1 \ to \ both \ sides|

&#10;0.04p=-0.12&#10; &#10;

0.04p/0.04=-0.12/0.04&#10;  |Divide \ both \ sides \ by \ 0.04|

p=-3
