A sex-linked trait is a trait that is carried by the X chromosomes in females but it is not expressed(the phenotype). Females are only carriers because they have two copies of the X chromosome [one of them carries the trait and the other does not]. Males who inherit one copy of the X chromosome often get the trait (because the trait is in either one copy or the other of the X chromosome) and express it while their Y chromosome would became recessive. Thus, only males express sex-linked traits such as hemophilia or color blindness
The answer is; C
Resources are not evenly distributed on the planet. If you look at it this way; Even regarding climate, not all regions of the planet receive the same amount of sunshine and rain. This way even the biodiversity (natural resources) in these regions will vary. The biodiversity in the tropics is more than that of the polar regions.
Answer:
If Red blood cell is placed in a hypotonic solution, the water moves into the cell. The cell swells and become turgid.
Explanation:
This is a type of osmosis. here plasma membrane of RBC works as semipermeable(only solute can move) osmotic membrane.
We all know that, osmosis is a process where liquid moves across semipermeable membrane from less concentration gradient to high concentration gradient.
There are three types of solution in respect of the concentration of cell's cytoplasm. These are
- Hypotionic (when the solution is dilute than the conc. of cytoplasm). In this condition water moves into the cell and the cell become turgid. this is known as deplasmolysis
- Hypertonic ( when the solution is concentrated than cytoplasm), In this condition water moves out from the cell and the cell become flaccid. This is known as plasmolysis.
- Isotonic (when both the conc. of cell and solution are same). No osmosis takes place.
One of the mice populations would evolve over time to adapt to there surroundings.
It uses photosynthesis. it combines water, carbon dioxide, and sun to produce sugars for itself.
