Answer:

49.12 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a circle = Pi x r^2

= 3.14 x 4^2

= 3.14 x 16

= 50.24

Half the circle = 25.12 squared inches

Area of a triangle = base x height /2

= 6 x 8 /2

= 24

25.12 + 24 = 49.12 square inches

(8/9)^2 I need to evaluate this
tigry1 [53]

(8/9)^2 is just 8/9 squared, or 8/9 * 8/9. This is 64/81, and cannot be reduced. This is therefore our answer.

Write two conditionals from each biconditional
bearhunter [10]

Two conditionals from each biconditional are

  • (1) A month has exactly 28 days (2) It is February
  • (1)Two angels are complementary  (2) The measures of the angles add up to 90
  • (1) The area of square s^2 (2) The perimeter of the square is 4s

<h3>How to write two conditionals from each biconditional?</h3>

A biconditional statement is represented as:

if and only if p, then q

From the above biconditional statement, we have the following conditional statements

Conditional statement 1: p

Conditional statement 2: q

Using the above as a guide, the conditional statements from the biconditional statements are:

<u>Biconditional statement 30</u>

  • A month has exactly 28 days
  • It is February

<u>Biconditional statement 31</u>

  • Two angels are complementary
  • The measures of the angles add up to 90

<u>Biconditional statement 32</u>

Evaluate 1/2a^-4b^2 for a =-2 and b=4

\frac{1}{2} (-2)^{-4} *4^{2}\\\\\frac{1}{2} *\frac{1}{(-2)^{4}} *4^{2}\\\\\frac{1}{2} *\frac{1}{2^{4}}*4^{2}\\\\\frac{1}{2} *\frac{1}{16}*4^{2}\\\\\frac{1}{2} *\frac{1}{16}*16=\frac{1}{2}

A number raised to a negative exponent is sometimes negative.

Hope this helps, now you know the answer and how to do it. HAVE A BLESSED AND WONDERFUL DAY! As well as a great Valentines Day! :-)
