Can someone help me answer this question. I do not understand transformations

f ( x ) = x² ( with the vertex : ( 0, 0 ) )
g ( x ) = ( x + 7 )² + 9 ( the new vertex is ( - 7, 9 ) ) 
y = ( x - h )² + k
Transformations that change the graph f ( x ) to g ( x ) is:
D ) The graph g ( x ) is the graph f ( x ) translated to the left 7 units and up 9 units.
