Answer:

it's c , x= 1.5 or -4

2x^2 + 5x - 12 = 0

First factor the left side of the equation

(2x-3)(x+4)=0

Second, set the factors equal to 0

2x-3=0 or x+4=0

 +3  +3       -4  -4

2x=3           -4

divide both side by 2 and you get 3/2 which equals 1.5

x=1.5 or x= -4

Answer: choice C) -15x^4y

-----------------------------------------

Explanation:

The coefficients are -3 and 5. They are the numbers to the left of the variable terms
Multiply the coefficients to get -3*5 = -15. So -15 is the coefficient in the answer

Multiply the x terms to get x^3 times x = x^(3+1) = x^4. Notice the exponents are being added

Do the same for the y terms as well: y^2 times y^(-1) = y^(2+(-1)) = y^(2-1) = y^1 = y

So we have a final coefficient of -15, the x terms simplify to x^4 and the y terms simplify to just y

Put this all together and we end up with -15x^4y which is what choice C is showing

Find the measure of angle A (please help!!!)
mel-nik [20]

Answer: 41 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

so, we know that a triangle is 180 degrees. since we know that one angle is 80 degrees, we can subtract that from the equation. now, we are trying to find what X is so that we can find the angle. here is how i did it:

i rewrote it and removed the parentheses.

4x + 1 + 4x + 19 = 100

then, i collected like terms and calculated it.

8x + 20 = 100

then, i moved the constant to the right.

8x = 100 - 20

then, i simply calculated it.

8x = 10

solution: x = 10

so, we just insert X into the angle for A. that gets us 4(10) + 1 = angle A

40 + 1 = angle A, hence angle A = 41 degrees.
