Answer:

Crop rotation was used during the agricultural revolution. It allowed the soil to be healthier and prevented the nutrients from being stripped from the soil. Crop rotation is when your land in separated into different fields for different plants. Usually you would have two or three. One field is left fallow (land that is taken care of, but does not have any crops), and the other one/s are for whatever you choose to plant. Each season you rotate your crops so each field has a turn to be fallow.

Explanation:

Example: you separate your land into three fields. Field 1 has potatoes, field 2 has wheat, and field 3 is fallow. Next season Field 1 is fallow, Field 2 has potatoes, and Field 3 has wheat.

An ecosystem has 150 organisms of 15 different species. What is the biodiversity index of this ecosystem?
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

0.1

Explanation:

To calculate this, scientists use a formula called the biodiversity index in order to describe how much are the species of a given area diverse. It is calculated by taking the number of species in the area and divided by the total number of individuals in that area. This gives us the biodiversity index.

In this example, there are 15 species in an area and we divide that by 150 organisms to get a 0.1 biodiversity index.

The main purpose of wildlife (movement) corridors is to
Kryger [21]
I believe the main purpose of wildlife (movement) corridors is to connect two otherwise isolated populations. Wildlife corridors are links of wildlife habitat that joins tow or more larger areas of similar wildlife habitat. They are very critical for the maintenance of ecological processes such as allowing the movement of animals and the continuation of viable populations.
