Paraphrase the verses to show that you understand their literal meaning.
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

  1. "Is my team plowing" = Are my horses still working?
  2. "That I use to drive" = The way I used to drive them to plow the land
  3. "And hear the harness jingle" = While listening to the harness noises.
  4. "When I was man alive?" = When was I still alive?
  5. "Ay, the horses trample," = The horses continue to work hard.
  6. "The harness jingles now;" = And the harness continues to make noise
  7. "No change though you lie under" = Everything is the same, except your presence
  8. "The land you use to plow." = On the land you used to plow.

Explanation:

Firstly, it is important to highlight the meaning of paraphrasing. To paraphrase is to use a sentence and rewrite it keeping the original meaning, but using different words, as was done in the poem above.

The poem provides the conversation between a dead man and his friend, who is still alive. In the first three verses, the man wants to know what is happening in the land that he plowed, cared for and cultivated. He wants to know if everything is as he left it. The latest verses describe the friend's response, who says that everything is the same, except for the presence of the man who is now dead.

If you excel in class and be rich will you have many friends?
love history [14]

Answer:

it does not necessarily mean you have to rich or good at something to have many friends. It's like if you have one 20 dollar bill that is covered in dirt and another in perfect condition, it does not mean that the value changes. In conclusion it can mean that even though your poor or not smart, it does not mean you have less friends than anyone.

Thesis in the hate u give?
Nesterboy [21]
Khalil’s shooting and the ongoing investigation of Officer Cruise put the theme of injustice at the forefront of the novel. The fact that Khalil was unarmed and did not threaten the officer makes his murder unjust. The police are unjust at other points, too, such as when they force Maverick to the ground and pat him down. Race is tied into this theme of injustice as well, since pervasive racism prevents African-Americans from obtaining justice. Starr and Maverick in particular are focused on bringing justice not only for Khalil but also for African-Americans and other oppressed groups, such as the poor. The activist group that Starr joins is called Just Us for Justice because it fights against police maltreatment on the basis of race. At the end of the novel, Starr accepts that injustice might continue but reinforces her determination to fight against it.

PLEASE ANYONE WHO HAS READ THE LEAP USE THE A.C.E METHOD TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION
Archy [21]

First of all, if the story would be in chronological order, there would be no story at all. This is because the main character of the story, Anna, won't tell the narrator, her daughter, a lot about her past. "She has kept no squinted costume, no photographs, no fliers or posters from that part of her youth".

Because the narrator tells the story in the present and uses flashbacks is the reason that she can unify certain themes, such as the three times her mother saved her life because of her leaps. "I owe her my existence three times". These three leaps the narrator owes her life might be: when Anna Saves herself when she falls from the trapeze, when she falls in love with the narrator's father, and when she saves the narrator life from a fire by climbing to the room where the narrator is trapped.
