Answer:

Mathematics NCERT Grade 7, Chapter 5: Lines and Angles is all about different lines, line segments, and angles.

A line segment has two end points.

A ray has only one end point (its vertex).

A line has no end points on either side.

This chapter throws light on topics such as related angles, pair of lines. The chapter deals with different types of angles and lines. The types of angles discussed in this chapter are as follows:

Pairs of Angles Condition

Two complementary angles Measures add up to 90°

Two supplementary angles Measures add up to 180°

Two adjacent angles Have a common vertex and a common arm but no common interior

Linear pair Adjacent and supplementary

A linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles whose non-common sides are opposite rays.

All the types are discussed in detail and are supplemented with examples and short questions.

Under the topic pair of lines, various sub-sections are discussed namely:

Intersecting lines

Transversal

Angles made by a transversal

When two lines intersect (looking like the letter X) we have two pairs of opposite angles. They are called vertically opposite angles. They are equal in measure.

A transversal is a line that intersects two or more lines at distinct points.

Six angles discussed in this section:

1. Interior angles

2. Exterior angles

3. Pairs of Corresponding angles

4. Pairs of Alternate interior angles

5. Pairs of Alternate exterior angles

6. Pairs of interior angles on the same side of the transversal

Transversal of parallel lines

2.) Find the value of each trigonometric ratio:
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

SinA = 40/50

Step-by-step explanation:

I think it's just asking if you understand the trig ratios. You aren't really solving for anything.

SinA is 40 over 50 because 40 is opposite of <A and 50 is the hypotenuse.

Then, use the trig ratios to figure out the other problems.

Expand
c(3c - 3)
I need help on this
Rudik [331]

\\ \sf\longmapsto c(3c-3)

Apply distributive law

  • a(b-d)=ab-ad

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3c(c)-3(c)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3c^2-3c

We can still take common

\\ \sf\longmapsto 3c(c-1)

Mrs.Browns rectangular kitchen is 10 ft wide and.16 ft long, if she creates a scale drawing. With a length of 4 inches, what woul
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

2.5 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

1 feet = 12 inches

The length is 16 ft x 12 = 192 inches

The length was scales by an unknown measure which i would represent with x . The equation is as follows

192 inches x a = 4 feet

a = 48

The kitchen was scaled by 48

10 x 12 = 120 inches

120/48 = 2.5 inches

And animals weight change from 12 pounds to 16 pounds what was the percent increase to the nearest whole number
amm1812
That's a 33% increase.

I calculated this using the formula:

\frac{|n-o|}{o} * 100

Where n = the new value (16 in your question), o = the old value (12 in your question) and the result is outputted as a percent increase. You can check that this is correct by finding 33% of 12, adding the result to 12, and checking that the result equals your "new" number.

Note that 33% is only an approximation as your question requires a number rounded to the nearest whole.
