Answer:

the time taken for the object to fall is 6 s.

Explanation:

Given;

final velocity of the object, v = 58.8 m/s

initial velocity of the object, u = 0

The height of fall of the object is calculated as;

v² = u² + 2gh

v² = 2gh

h = \frac{v^2}{2g} \\\\h = \frac{(58.8)^2}{2(9.8)} \\\\h = 176.4 \ m

The time to fall through the height is calculated as;

h =ut+  \frac{1}{2} gt^2\\\\h = 0 +  \frac{1}{2} gt^2\\\\h =  \frac{1}{2} gt^2\\\\t= \sqrt{\frac{2h}{g} } \\\\t = \sqrt{\frac{2\times 176.4}{9.8} } \\\\t = 6 \ s

Therefore, the time taken for the object to fall is 6 s.

Which class of hazards is characterized by thermal and mechanical hazards in the form of blast pressure waves, shrapnel and frag
Mkey [24]

Class 1 (Explosives) is the class of hazards that is characterized by thermal and mechanical hazards in the form of blast pressure waves, shrapnel and fragmentation, and incendiary thermal effects.

There are different classes of Hazards

Class 1 - Explosives

Class 2 - Gases

Class 3 - Flammable liquids

Class 4 - Flammable solids

Class 5 - Oxidizers

Class 6 - Toxic materials

Class 7 - Radioactive materials

Class 8 - Corrosive materials

Class 9 - Miscellaneous dangerous goods

Any substance or item, including<u> a gadget</u>, that is intended to function by explosion or that, <u>through a chemical reaction</u> inside itself, is capable of functioning similarly even if not intended to function by explosion, falls within the category of explosive materials (class 1).

Hence, Class 1 (Explosives) is the class of hazards that is characterized by thermal and mechanical hazards.

A Chinook salmon can jump out of water with a speed of 6.70 m/s6.70 m/s . How far horizontally dd can a Chinook salmon travel th
aksik [14]

Answer:

R = 3.88 m

Explanation:

As the Chinook salmon leaves the water till it gets back into the water it is performing a projectile motion with the following parameters:

V₀ = Launch Speed = 6.7 m/s

θ = Launch Angle = 29°

R= Range of Projectile= Horizontal Distance Covered by Chinook salmon= ?

The value of the range of a projectile is given by the following formula:

R = (V₀² Sin 2θ)/g

R = [(6.7 m/s)² Sin {(2)(29°)}/(9.8 m/s²)]

R = [(6.7 m/s)² Sin (58°)/(9.8 m/s²)]

<u>R = 3.88 m</u>
