So the question is
:
5% of total sale is 125

'of' means mutiply
'is' means equals

percent means parts out of 100
5%=5/100=1/20
so now we have
1/20 times total sale=125
multiply both sides by 20 to clear fraction
20/20 times total sale=2500
1 times total sale=2500
total sale=2500
answer is total sale=$2500<span />

Hey there!

In my opinion, yes, because there are many reasons for this answer. But one reason is that when you get older, you'll be using 3.14 more than 22/7 because you don't really use fractions anymore, you use decimals.

^^That's my opinion, you might have something different^^

Hope this helps!

HELP!!!!! NO LINKS OR FAKE ANSWER OR I WILL REPORT YOU Thanks! The image is above¡ <br>
Bess [88]

Answer:

Top left Equation:  \frac{2}{3} + (- 2 \frac{1}{3} ) = - 1 \frac{2}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

You start at 2/3, or the left side.

Since the line is directing left, you are subtracting, or adding a negative.

If you see, you are moving 7 - 1/3s to the left

7 x 1/3 = 7 / 3

7 / 3 = 2 1/3

And 2/3 + (-2 1/3) = -1 2/3

If my answer is incorrect, pls correct me!

The sphere is centered in the cube. Find an expression for the volume of the cube outside the sphere
Nikolay [14]

Solution -

The sphere is centered in the cube, so diameter of the sphere is equal to the side of the cube. Hence ,the radius of the sphere is half of the length of the side.

If the length of side of the cibe = a , then radius of the sphere is \frac{a}{2}

Volume of the cube = a³, volume of the sphere = \frac{4}{3}π(radius)³ = \frac{4}{3}π(\frac{a}{2})³

volume of the cube outside the sphere = volume of the cube - volume of the sphere

=  a^3 - \frac{4}{3}π(\frac{a}{2})³

= a^3 -\frac{1}{6} \pi a^{3}

=a³(1 - \frac{\pi }{6})

A person owns two shops. this year the telephone bill for the first job was $640 less than four times a telephone bill for the s
KIM [24]

Answer: F=bill for first shop=4S-$630; S=bill for second shop

.

F+S=$3265 Substitute for F

4S-$630+S=$3265

5S=$3895

S=$779 ANSWER 1: The bill for the second shop was $779

.

F=4S-$630

F=4($779)-$630

F=$3116-$630=$2486 ANSWER 2: The bill for the first shop was $2486.

.

CHECK:

F+S=$3265

$2486+$779=$3265

$3265=$3265
