Both used horses to fight, but used them In different ways. European knights would fight on hourse back with the preferred weapons of a longsword. While many samurai used bows with pricing accuracy to take down thier foes while on the move. Europe was ruled by the Pope during most of the dark ages, and there was a bad disease called the bubonic plague that killed the majority of the European population during the dark ages. Feudal Japan was mostly seperate countries fighting to united the island with each had their own way of tactics and idelas. Civil War in Japan and Diesease in Europe is what killed majority of the people in both of the places.
