Bob is asked to construct a probability model for rolling a pair of fair dice. He lists the outcomes as 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,
vichka [17]

Answer and Step-by-step explanation:

For 2 dice, we have 36 possibles outcomes:

D₁ = {1,2,3,4,5,6}

D₂ = {1,2,3,4,5,6}

U = ({1,1};{1,2};{1,3};...;{2,1};{2,2};...;{6,6})

This way, it's 6 for D₁ and 6 for D₂, 6.6 = 36

The possible 3 that might appear when rolling a pair of dice would be

{1,2} and {2,1}, so, 2.

The probability of rolling 3 is 2/36 = 1/18

A dress listed from $119 is discounted 25%. What is the sale price of the dress including a 7 1/2 state sales tax?
Daniel [21]
If it is discounted 25%, then u r actually paying 75%

0.75(119) = 89.25 (without tax)

sales tax = 7 1/2% = 7.5% = 0.075
89.25(1.075) = $ 95.94 <===

What is 15.37×5 show work
just olya [345]
This should be quite easy to explain. So the first thing you want to do is multiply them. This isn't to hard if you know your times tables. Don't worry about the decimal till the end.

 15.37
×      5
---------
 76.85

15.37 times 5 is 76.85

Now on to the decimal. All you need to do is move it two times to the left. You see how it's in between the 5 and 3? The same goes for your answer. So it is 76.85

I hope this helped!! ^^ I can make this a little more easier to explain if you want me to just in case, ok?

Can someone please help me with this question about given two points?Please help ASAP!!! :(
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

<em>The order of subtraction is not important in any of the coordinates</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance Between Two Points

Given two points (x1,y2) (x2,y2), the distance between them is given by the formula

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

The difference between both coordinates is squared, then added, and finally extracted the square root.

Based on the principle that

a*a=a^2

and also

(-a)(-a)=a^2

We can notice it doesn't matter the sign of a the square of a is always positive. If we had subtracted in the opposite way, the distance would have resulted in exactly the same. In other words, the above formula is exactly the same as

d=\sqrt{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}

As seen, it applies for both coordinates
