Look at the circuit below. What is the voltage between points C and D?
stepan [7]

Option c) 1.5 V

Explanation:

<em>As the circuit is build in series first we will find the current passing through the complete circuit. Current stays the same in each element is the series cirucuit, however, the voltage is different.</em>

Voltage is given by the following formula:

V = IR

<em>Because we have to find current through whole circuit, we will first find resistance of the whole circuit.</em>

Equivalent Resistance R(eq): R1 + R2 = 60 + 60 = 120 ohm

Current passing through whole circuit be:

I = \frac{V}{R(eq)}\\I = \frac{3}{120} = 0.025

Now we will find out the voltage between C and D:

Current stays the same in series circuit: I = 0.025 c

Resistance between C and D is, R = 60 ohm

Voltage becomes, V = IR = 0.025 * 60 = 1.5 V

assume the suns total energy output is 4.0 * 10^26 watts, and 1 watt is 1 joule/second. assume 4.3 * 10^-12 J is released from e
Dmitry [639]

Answer:

9.3\cdot 10^{37}

Explanation:

Power is defined as the energy produced (E) per unit of time (t):

P= \frac{E}{t}

This means that the energy produced in the Sun each second (1 s), given the power P=4.0\cdot 10^{26}W, is

E=Pt=(4.0\cdot 10^{26}W)(1s )=4.0\cdot 10^{26} J

Each p-p chain reaction produces an amount of energy of

E_1 = 4.3\cdot 10^{-12} J

in order to get the total number of p-p chain reactions per second, we need to divide the total energy produced per second by the energy produced by each reaction:

n=\frac{E}{E_1}=\frac{4.0\cdot 10^{26} J}{4.3\cdot 10^{-12} J}=9.3\cdot 10^{37}

Difference between inverted and upright microscope
ser-zykov [4K]
An Inverted Microscope gives you more freedom than an upright microscope. Inverted microscopes are very useful to examine the surface of heavy and large sized Items for industrial purposes. Whereas <span>upright microscopes have very limited distance between the table and the objective.</span>

Which of these is most likely to produce radioactive waves?
Ivan
<h2>Answer:</h2>

<u>A. A nuclear power plant</u> produces radioactive wave.

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

A plant in which a nuclear reactor is used as a source to produce heat is known as nuclear power plant. The heat formed by the reactor is used to form steam which can be used to drive turbines to produce electricity.

The coolant in reactor gets heated by the fission process taking place in the reactor. It is a cyclic process where the steam is condensed and reverted back. A nuclear power plant in active condition produce a small amount of radiation which can be sensed within a radius of 50 miles.
