1). If 2.2 lb actually = 1 kg, then

(132lb) x (1 kg/2.2lb) = 60 kg.

(Sadly, 2.2 lb doesn't " = " 1 kg. The explanation, unfortunately, is beyond the scope of this discussion.)

2). Weight = (mass) x (gravity)

Moon weight = (60 kg)x(1.6 m/s^2)

Moon weight = 96 Newtons

Which of the following describes one of Galileo Galilei's contributions to the development of the concept of gravity?
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

The correct option is;

c. He conducted experiments with balls and inclined planes

Explanation:

The inclined plane experiment conducted by Galileo Galilei was one of his most important experiments.

The experiment consisted of a grooved board with which a small metal ball is rolled down in, so as to analyze the held Aristotelian ideas about motion.

In the experiment, the focus was on acceleration, a concept that the previously held ideas about motion

A 4.5 kg bowling ball rolls down a 500m hill. How much potential energy does it lose?
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

22050 J

Explanation:

Given Mass of the ball, m = 4.5 Kg

Height, h =500 m

Acceleration due to gravity, g= 9.8m/s^{2}

To calculate the potential energy we use formula,

PE = mgh

Substituting the given values, we get

PE = 4.5× 9.8×500

    =22050 J
