Answer:

<h3><em><u>Archaea</u></em></h3>

Explanation:

Archaea contains DNA not held in a nucleoid or nucleus. They tend to live in harsh temperatures/climates and are found in thermal vents, and they can survive on certain non-organic substances.

Now bacteria contains a nucleoid which holds the DNA, and Eukarya (plant and animal cells) also have DNA but have membrane-bound organelles that are like nucleus.

Answer:

C. Large, coarse grains of sand should be used since they remain on the beach longer.

Explanation:

According to a 2016 study by researchers at  Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San County, the size of sand particles does matter a lot when it comes to beach erosion. They found that larger courser sand particles help a lot with combating beach erosion so the answer should be C

Suppose no crossing-over takes place. Use step 5 (anaphase 1) to explain why meiosis will still increase genetic variation.
MissTica

Meiosis increases genetic variation due to random segregation which occurs.

In anaphase I of meiosis, the homologous pairs (one maternal and one paternal chromosome) are moved apart to opposite ends of the cell and this process occurs random. This allows the formation of gametes with different sets of homologues. In this phase sister chromatids remain attached at their centromeres (not segragated as in mitosis).
