The treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty signed in Versailles to mark the end of world war 1, this treaty was signed alongside other treaties that was imposed on the defeated powers during the world war 1 in a conference that took place in Paris.

The date the treaty was signed was on the 28th June 1919. this date was significant because it marked exactly 5 years to what directly caused the war ( the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand)
