Answer:

1. Gravity

2. Increases

Explanation:

Gravity is the force that attracts all objects toward each other. This is the force that keeps us grounded on Earth instead of floating in the air.

Although people have gravitational forces, the attraction force is a negligible amount. However, as the mass of the objects are increased, they will exert  far greater gravitational powers to other objects or individuals such as humans.

A boat of mass 225 kg drifts along a river at a speed of 21 m/s to the west. what impulse is required to decrease the speed of t
zzz [600]
The impulse required to decrease the speed of the boat is equal to the variation of momentum of the boat:
J=\Delta p=m \Delta v
where
m=225 kg is the mass of the boat
\Delta v=v_f-v_i=15 m/s-21 m/s=-6 m/s is the variation of velocity of the boat
By substituting the numbers into the first equation, we find the impulse:
J=m\Delta v=(225 kg)(-6 m/s)=-1350 N s
and the negative sign means the direction of the impulse is against the direction of motion of the boat.

How much heat is absorbed by a 28g iron skillet when its temperature rises from 7oC to 29oC?
prohojiy [21]
From the information given above,
Mass [M] = 28 g
Change in temperature = 29 - 7 = 22
Specific heat of iron = 0.449 [This value is constant]
The formula for calculating heat absorbed, Q is
Q = Mass * Specific heat of Iron * change in temperature
Q = 28 * 0.449 * 22 = 276.58 J<span />
