Wilhelm Roentgen
X-rays were discovered in 1895. Röntgen's discovery occurred accidentally in his Wurzburg, Germany, lab, where he was testing whether cathode rays could pass through glass when he noticed a glow coming from a nearby chemically coated screen. He dubbed the rays that caused this glow X-rays because of their unknown nature.

A client is to take nifedipine (Adalat) 10 mg PO tid. How many milligrams will the client take per dose?
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

The answer is 10 mg.

Explanation:

Nifedipine (Adalat)- this is a medication that works as a muscle relaxant. It primarily targets the muscles of the heart, thus it is used in treating hypertension (high-blood pressure).

The statement above says, the client is to take Nifedipine (Adalat) 10 mg PO tid. "PO" means that the medication is to be taken orally or by mouth, while "tid" means three times a day. This means that the patient will be taking the medication of 10 mg per dose, three times daily.

So, that would be a total of 30 mg in one day.

Thus, the answer is 10 mg.
