DaniilM [7]

Answer:

1, When Jane brakes, the brakes slow the car wheels turning and the road surface exerts a backwards force on the tires, causing the car to decelerate. The pocket book tends to continue on in a straight line (Newton's first law). If she brakes hard enough that the friction between the book and the car seat is insufficient to decelerate the book as fast as the car is decelerating, the book will slide off the seat, and gravity pulls it to the floor

A force of 60 N is applied to a skier to pull him along a horizontal surface so that his speed remains constant. If the coeffici
matrenka [14]

Answer:

1200\ \text{N}

Explanation:

F = Force on the skier = 60 N

\mu = Coefficient of friction = 0.05

w = Weight of skier

Force is given by

F=\mu w

\Rightarrow w=\dfrac{F}{\mu}

\Rightarrow w=\dfrac{60}{0.05}=\dfrac{6000}{5}

\Rightarrow w=1200\ \text{N}

Weight of the skier on which the force is being applied is 1200\ \text{N} .

When you throw a ball, the work you do to accelerate it equals the kinetic energy the ball gains. if you do twice as much work w
nata0808 [166]
It doesn't because when u threw it the first time, u notice that the ball eventually came to a stop because of the force that was acting upon it. Although when u throw it harder it will start out faster than the first time u threw it because u put more kinetic energy onto the ball. But the same thing happens with this ball that happened to the second ball, they both have a type of force acting upon them.
