In the beginning, he came to Mexico to help the poor people in farming olives and grapes in order to improve their economy.
But the effort was banned by the Spanish Government since they want mexican people to grow other crops that suitable for their export business.
This caused people became enraged and started the war of independence led  by Miguel Hidalgo himself.
