In two separate double slit experiments, an interference pattern is observed on a screen. In the first experiment, violet light

(λ = 708 nm) is used and a second-order bright fringe occurs at the same location as a third-order dark fringe in the second experiment. Determine the wavelength of the light used in the second experiment.

Answer:

\lambda_3 = 4.72*10^{-7} m

Explanation:

given data:

wavelength \lambda = 708nm = 708*10^{-9} m

using the following relation:

y = \frac{mL\lambda}{d}

according to the given information

second and third dark fringe is at same location. so

y_2 = y_3

\frac{m_2L\lambda_2}{d} = \frac{m_3L\lambda_3}{d}

m_2\lambda_2 = m_3\lambda_3

2*708*10^{-9} = 3*\lambda_3

\lambda_3 = \frac{2*708*10^{-9}}{3}

\lambda_3 = 4.72*10^{-7} m

What is Otter's average velocity over his entire trip when it takes him 2 minutes to walk 100 meters north and another 1 minute
Leya [2.2K]

Answer:

0.50m/s

Explanation:

Average velocity is the change in displacement of a body with respect to time.

Velocity = ∆S/∆t

∆S = 100m - 70m

∆S = 30m

∆t = 2min - 1 min

∆t = 1min = 60secs

Substitute the given parameters into the formula for velocity

Velocity = 30m/60s

Velocity = 1/2 m/s

Average Velocity = 0.5m/s

I think it is the third one

I’d go with the second one. If the solute is completely dissolved, then it’s unsaturated. If it settles out, it’s saturated. If you heat up a saturated solution and it becomes unsaturated, you have a saturated solution.

To test the performance of its tires, a car
yarga [219]

Answer:

0.43

Explanation:

Sum of forces in the y direction:

∑F = ma

N − mg = 0

N = mg

There are friction forces in two directions: centripetal and tangential.  The centripetal acceleration is:

ac = v² / r

ac = (35 m/s)² / 564 m

ac = 2.17 m/s²

The total acceleration is:

a = √(ac² + at²)

a = √((2.17 m/s²)² + (3.62 m/s²)²)

a = 4.22 m/s²

Sum of forces:

∑F = ma

Nμ = ma

mgμ = ma

μ = a / g

μ = 4.22 m/s² / 9.8 m/s²

μ = 0.43
