For any wave,
                           Frequency = (speed) / (wavelength)

                                              = (3 x 10⁸ m/s) / (4 x 10⁻⁷ m)

                                              = (3/4 x 10¹⁵)  ( m / m - s )

                                              = (0.75 x 10¹⁵)  /sec

                                              =  7.5 x 10¹⁴  Hz

                                              =   750,000 GHz

Answer: The correct answer is f=75\times 10^{13} Hz.

Explanation:

The expression of the wavelength in terms of the frequency is as follows;

\lambda =\frac{c}{f}

Here, c is the speed of the light, f is the frequency of the wave and \lambda is the wavelength of the wave.

It is given in the problem that a visible violet light emits light with a wavelength of 4.00 × 10-7 m.

Calculate the frequency of the violet light by rearranging the above expression.

f=\frac{c}{\lambda }

Put c=3\times 10^{8} m/s and {\lambda }=4\times 10^{-7}.

f=\frac{3\times 10^{8}}{4\times 10^{-7}}

f=75\times 10^{13} Hz

Therefore, the frequency of the violet light is f=75\times 10^{13} Hz.

How does Earth's rotation affect our view of stars
bonufazy [111]
Due to rotation of Earth on each day, our East & west gets change in every half day, and comes in it's initial state after a day. So, Stars which are in east relative to a stationary object in the Universe, will be in west relative to Earth after some time, and it changes our view of stars

Hope this helps!

Explain how sound is produced?
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

Sound is produced when an object vibrates, creating a pressure wave.As the particles vibrate, they move nearby particles, transmitting the sound further through the medium. The human ear detects sound waves when vibrating air particles vibrate small parts within the ear.

Gala2k [10]

Explanation:

It is a 1-minute averaged measure of the hurricane's maximum winds. Westerlies are one of the breeze belts helping to shape and guide hurricanes. A tropical cyclone is a quickly spinning storm system with a low-pressure core, a closed small-level air vortex, gusty winds, and a thunder storm spiral structure that causes torrential rain or squalls.

A pendulum that was originally erected by Foucault at the Pantheon in Paris for the Paris Exhibition in 1851 was restored in 199
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

13.1 m/s

Explanation: Given that a pendulum that was originally erected by Foucault at the Pantheon in Paris for the Paris Exhibition in 1851 was restored in 1995. It has a 28.0 kg sphere suspended from a 67.0-m light cable. If the amplitude of the swing is 5.00 m, what is the maximum speed of the sphere

The formula to use is :

W = sqrt ( L/g )

Where

L = 67m

g = 9.8m/s^2

A = 5m

Substitute all the parameters into the formula

W = sqrt ( 67 / 9.8 )

W = 2.6

To get the maximum velocity, we use the below formula.

V = wA

V = 2.6 × 5

V = 13.07 m/s

Therefore the maximum speed of the sphere is 13.1 m/s approximately.
