Answer:

Transmitted frequencies are 876.5 KHz and 883.5 KHz

Explanation:

We have given that carrier frequency f_c=880KHz

And modulated frequency f_m=6.5KHz

We have to find the transmitted frequencies that are LSB and MSB

For finding LSB we subtract the modulated frequency from carrier frequency

So LSB = 880-3.5 = 876.5 KHz

For finding LSB we add the modulated frequency to carrier frequency

So LSB = 880+3.5 = 883.5 KHz

Consider two different types of motors. Motor A has a characteristic life of 4100 hours (based on a MTTF of 4650 hours) and a sh
Daniel [21]

Answer:B

Explanation:

Given

For motor A

Characteristic life(r)=4100 hr

MTTF=4650 hrs

shape factor(B )=0.8

For motor B

Characteristic life(r)=336 hr

MTTF=300 hr

Shape Factor (B)=3

Reliability for 100 hours

R_a=e^{-\left ( \frac{T-r}{n}\right )B}

R_a=e^{-\left ( \frac{4650-4100}{100}\right )0.8}

R_a=e^{-4.4}=0.01227

For B

R_b=e^{-\left ( \frac{300-336}{100}\right )3}

R_b=e^{1.08}=2.944

B is better for 100 hours

(b)For 750 hours

R_a=e^{-0.5866}=0.55621

R_b=e^{0.144}=1.154

So here B is more Reliable.

A motorist is driving his car at 60km/hr when he observes that a traffic light 250m ahead turns red. The traffic light is
Alecsey [184]

Explanation:

Okay soo-

Given-

u = 60 km/hr = 60×1000/3600=50/3 m/s

t = 20 s

s = 250 m

a = ?

v = ?

Solution -

Here, acceleration is uniform.

(a) According to 2nd kinematics equation,

s = ut + ½at^2

250 = 50/3 ×20 + 0.5×a×20×20

250-1000/3=200a

(750-1000)/3=200a

a = -250/(3×200)

a = -5/12

a = 0.4167 m/s^2

The required uniform acceleration of the car is 0.4167 m/s^2.

(b) According to 1st kinematics equation

v = u + at

v = 50/3 + (-5/12)×20

v = 50/3-25/3

v = 25/3

v = 8.33 m/s

The speed of the car as it passes the traffic light is 8.33 m/s.

Good luck!

) A brick of clay is being dried in a batch dryer using constant drying conditions. You have been asked to determine the amount
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

The drying time is calculated as shown

Explanation:

Data:

Let the moisture content be = 0.6

the free moisture content be = 0.08

total moisture of the clay  = 0.64

total drying time for the period = 8 hrs

then if the final dry and wet masses are calculated, it follows that

t = (X0+ Xc)/Rc) + (Xc/Rc)* ln (Xc/X)

 = 31.3 min.
