how humans breathe :

when you breathe in (inhaling) your diaphragm will contract and move downwards, increasing the space in your chest cavity, allowing your lungs to expand into it. your muscles between your ribs help to enlarge the chest cavity as well, they will contract and pull your rib cage up and down when you inhale. this is the process of breathing

When we breathe, the air goes through the trachea and bronchi and splits at the tracheas base with one entering each lung. The air divide itself into the bronchioles. Then diffusion happens by swapping the CO2 in the capillaries with O2 in the airsacks. The oxygen hemoglobin gets transported to all of the bodyand the Co2 is exhaled.
