Answer:

Late 1800s were the period of tense relations between two countries, mostly provoked by many immigration acts introduced in the United States. It was followed even by the mass riots in the United States which led to death of many Chinese immigrants. It was one of the most tense period of the diplomatic relations between two countries.

Explanation:

Although in the second half of 19th Century two countries started developing diplomatic relations, it all started changing in 1875, when certain restriction were placed on the Chinese immigrants. This was followed by  Chinese Exclusion Act in 1882 which forbade Chinese immigration in the United States for ten years. When it was founded, the primary goal of Al-Qaeda was to do what?
Kamila [148]

The correct answer is remove all western ideas from nations who were muslim

The Al-Qaeda group emerged in 1988, in Afghanistan, as a Salafist organization, led by Saudi Osama Bin-Laden.

In the 1990s, the group would adopt strong anti-American and anti-Western rhetoric and be responsible for several attacks around the world, including the attack on the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.

Al Qaeda members' ideology comes from salfism.

Salafism was a Sunni Islamic movement that emerged in Cairo, Egypt, in the late 19th century.

Its aim was to reform Islam for the 20th century, after the intense contact that this religion had with the western world. Thus, he preached the return to the origin, with a more rigorous reading of the Al-Koran, the foundation of the Islamic faith. For this reason, they are also called fundamentalists.

The movement spread throughout the Islamic world and won over several people like Muhammad ibn al-Wahhab'Abd, who advocated a rigorous reading of the Muslim holy book and even helped to found the Saudi Kingdom of Arabia.

Likewise, there are currents that defend political Islam and others that prefer to remain on the sidelines of politics, as occurs in Western politics. Finally, there are those who believe that jihad, in its form of holy war, is a legitimate way to spread Islam around the world.

1. The correct answer for the first question is the second option, that is B.

When the seven states announced that they are seceding from the Union, Lincoln was unshaken and declared that the Union is "unbroken" and he did not  recognize it. He stated that their secession is "legally void" and thus he could acknowledge its legitimacy.

2.The correct answer for this question is the second option, B. again.

The first battle of the American Civil War lasted from April 12 to April 13, 1861. This battle was the Battle of Fort Sumter. The Battle of Sumter consisted of a bombardment of Fort Sumter carried out by the Confederate forces. The battle ended in Confederate victory.

3.The correct answer to this question is the third option, that is C.

When the Civil War started the North was sure, positively sure that this would not be more than a short skirmish. They believed that the war would end quickly and all will be back to normal. But after the First Battle of Bull Run and the Confederate victory they saw they were clearly wrong and that the war was going to last.

4. The correct answer here is the last option, that is D.

On January 1, 1863, President Lincoln issued one of the most important proclamations in the history of the United States of America and that was the Emancipation Proclamation or also known as Proclamation 95, by which he freed all the slaves from the designated South, Confederate states.

5. The correct answer here is the first option, A.

After the Civil War, the South was, generally in ruins. South's economy, likewise in ruins, devastated. The economy in the South prior to the civil war was dependent on agriculture and slave labor. After the freeing of slaves that system collapsed and one of the greatest challenges of the Reconstruction was finding a new economic system for the South.
